Automatically print and update the Daily Transaction Register
Up until now, as many of you know, when you a register in any module other than the general ledger, there were two update that you first had to update, the local ledger and then there was a secondary step that updated the other modules and the general ledger, and that was the daily transaction ledger.
Sage has now added a new security event in role maintenance. Based on the Sage 100 User role, which can grant access to the Security event that allows that user to update the daily transaction ledger, will now update automatically when they update the sub-ledger. This feature updates all the integrated modules, including the GL, all in one…cutting all the steps you’d usually take in half.
In other words, a security event has been added to Role Maintenance that allows you to automatically update the Daily Transaction Register. For any series of journal and register updates that concludes with the Daily Transaction Register, you will not receive a prompt to print and update the register if the security event check box is selected for your role. The Daily Transaction Register will be printed and updated automatically. The security event has been added for the following modules:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Bank Reconciliation
- Bill of Materials
- Inventory Management
- Job Cost
- Purchase Order
- Sales Order
- Work Order
This update is not available for 2.19.4, but 2.20 of payroll will include this feature.
